Mike Swanson's Webliography

A selection of useful and  interesting Websites
For a number of years now, I've subscribed to e-mailing newsletters  provided by a number of individuals and institutions.  These lists review websites across a wide variety of subjects and disciplines--sites one would not likely find using a search engine like Google.   From these lists, I selected those which were of special interest to teachers of history and American Studies.  Because both these disciplines are broad in scope and substance, the sites I kept cover a wide range of subject matter.  This summer I decided to compile a list from from those newsletters, making it available to colleagues, students, and friends alike.  The annotations on the lists are largely taken from the newsletters themselves, or from the websites' introductions.  Currently I've compiled two lists.  The reason was sheer practicality.  The first list became too long for my wordprocessing power.  For convenience, I've broken each list into subsections of 100 reviewed websites.  As of August 2012, all the links were working.
